The Laying Flock

We currently have Bielefelder and Pearl White Leghorn chickens.  While the Leghorns are exceptional laying hens, the Bielefelders are also good egg layers and are a great dual purpose chicken when they mature.  There are 2 Bielefelder roosters: Hans and Friedrich, and 5 Bielefelder hens: Liesl, Louisa, Marta, Brigitta, and Gretl. The Leghorn ladies are: Sophia, Rose, Blanche, and Dorothy.

Our future plans include selling eggs, as well as Bielefelder hatching eggs, pullets, and cockerels.  We also plan on adding Americaunas to the flock.  This will not only give us beautiful blue eggs, but with the help of one of our Bielefelder roosters, Olive Egger chickens and lovely green eggs.
